******************** THE ORIGIN & HISTORY ********************
Dance Club music has experienced a few changes since its beginning in 1974. Initially a main-ten rundown of tracks that gathered the biggest crowd reaction in New York City the charts started on October 26, 1974 under the title Disco Action. The chart happened to characteristic play-lists from different urban areas around the nation from week to week. Announcement kept on running provincial and city-particular charts all around 1975 and 1976 until the issue dated August 28, 1976, when a thirty-position National Disco Action Top 30 debuted. This immediately jumped to forty positions, and afterward in 1979 the outline extended to sixty positions, then eighty, lastly arrived at 100 positions from 1979 until 1981.
Throughout the first 50% of the 1980s the graph kept up eighty openings until March 16, 1985 when the Disco graphs were chipped and renamed. Two graphs seemed: Hot Dance/Disco, which positioned club play and Hot Dance Music. These two diagrams still exist today, under the authority titles Hot Dance Club Songs and Hot Dance Single Sales. In 2003 Billboard presented the Hot Dance Airplay diagram, which is built exclusively in light of radio airplay of six move music stations and main 40 mix-shows electronically observed by Nielsen Broadcast Data Systems.
On January 17, 2013, Billboard included another outline, Dance/Electronic Songs, which tracks the 50 most prevalent Dance and Electronic singles and tracks focused around club play, single deals, radio airplay, computerized downloads, and web streaming. Despite the fact that the disco diagram started reporting prominent melodies in New York City clubs, Billboard soon stretched scope to characteristic different graphs every week which highlighted play-lists in different urban areas, for example, San Francisco, San Diego, Boston, Los Angeles, Miami, Phoenix, Detroit and Houston.
