“Road Guardians” is operated by the Israel National Road Safety Authority (RSA) in partnership with Safe Lane (NGO), who is responsible for the design and development of the app. The app allows drivers to report life-threatening traffic violations as they witness them in real time. Once the user issues a simple voice command, a video recording of the last minute is securely uploaded to our servers. The electronically signed report is screened by authorized controllers at the Road Guardians’ control center, which is based at the RSA headquarters. Once the recording is validated and sorted it is securely sent to The National Traffic Police Unit. As a result of this process, many dangerous drivers have already been imposed with heavy fines and driver's licenses have been revoked.
Please note - once the app has been downloaded and personal information has been submitted, it will be pending upon approval before it can be activated. Average wait time is 2-3 work days.
